The Hot New Phone from Palm
I have used the Palm Pre and its a pretty good phone, it has the best web browser I have seen on any cell phone, the keyboard is very responsive, and it can run multiple apps at once. It has Sprint Navigation built in and Google maps. It works with Amazon.com for music purchases. Plus the touch screen is really nicely done. Granted the app store does not have that many apps,but the phone was only released back in June. Plus if you accidentally drop your phone in water, or it falls and breaks, well you don’t have to buy a brand new one at cost, if you opt to get insurance (which you should) you can contact the insurance company and replace it.
I agree with Nick. Palm Pre is not that good as I seems. If you like iPhone, you can go with it coz iPhone definitely has a lot of applications than the Palm. If you’re on Sprint (CDMA), you might consider the Omnia which is one of the best touchscreens and has a lot of applications. If you need Omnia / iPhone without contract cheaper, you can mail me or talk with me on Yahoo!

I reccomend you to get the iPhone, not the Palm Pre. I have both, and I will say that the iPhone has been more reliable than this Palm Pre. The iPhone has more apps and you can do much more stuff with the iPhone. The Palm Pre already has lost the match against iPhone because the Palm Pre spys on you. It takes information of what you do, it was on the news today 08/13. Palm Pre also had an error that made it got lower, so I reccomend you to wait for the iPhone 4G, if it is coming out or get the iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS, or just an iPod Touch.
The Palm Pre is a really kool phone IF you know how to root the Pre! (youtube it) you can pretty much do ANYTHING the iPhone can do and more! no there are not as many apps as the iPhone but here are some BIG UPS to the Pre over the iPhone (in my opinion)

BTW: Palm Pre is BRAND NEW and it has a BRAND NEW operating system so give them a few months and it will blow iPhone away!!! 
Get the Palm Pre. better phone, and cheaper plans. To be honest i carry my Ipod Touch and my Palm Pre.

I waited in line for the Palm Pre for about 2 hours the day it came out bright eyed and bushy tailed at 5 AM. I finally got the phone and thought it was fine. The phone ended up going slower each second I used it. Not only is it a slow operating phone, but doesn’t have very smooth transitions between apps. Also, NO it does not have as many apps as the Apple iPhone does. The Apple App Store has over 50,000 apps available for free or for a fee.
The Pre has a horrific battery.
Mediocre call quality.
Ok music application.
Pretty good camera, no camcorder.
I sold my Pre and cancelled Sprint within a week and purchased the new iPhone 3G S. I love it to death and recommend it to you!
