how long do i charge my new ipod battery?

i just got a new battery for my pre-owned 1st generation 4gb ipod ive been charging it for like 45 minutes now and the whole time it says do not disconnect and on the top right corner it has a picture of a flashing battery is that what its supposed to look like and if so how long do i have to charge it?

You have connected to your computer and it has synced with itunes.
You can disconnect it, but before you do you need to click eject on itunes.

On the left, you should see a tab which is your ipod. Might say ‘My ipod’ or whatever you called it. Click the eject button on the tab and then you can disconnect safely.

In order to make sure your iPod is fully charged it needs to be charged for 4 hours in order to have a 12 hour battery life.

thats too odd.. an hour should be enough. especially for a new one.

make sure all the connections are well fitted or the plug you are using is still working… especially if it is one that is used for many connections, usually one or two within time dont work any longer.

try changing the connection place and maybe give it another hour.
but an hour should really be sufficient, and have it full by then.

if anything disconnect from charging and maybe there it will show its charged.

if it continues, grab ur receit and return to the store
so they can either instruct on how to better use it, if its a tricky complicated way (which i doubt bbut its possible)

or return, maybe it was the simple new charger.
but it really should be charged fine after an hour.

theres a solution for everything, dont worry. just keep the receit in hand just incase. make sure u take it all to the store so u can try it out again infront of them.
